About COPC Stella Primary Care

Prepare For Your Appointment

Appointments
At Stella Primary Care, we aim to provide the most effective and efficient care that we possibly can. As part of achieving this goal we kindly ask that you inform us of the exact nature of your visit (issues may be limited to no more than 2), reschedule your appointment if you are more than 10 minutes late, and have patients under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We thank you in advance for helping us continue to provide the smooth and reliable care experience that our patients trust.

Billing and Fees
Our goal to be effective and efficient in everything we do drives the way we address the billing and fees associated with our great care. In order to avoid billing issues and extended wait times, we require that well visits and sick visits get scheduled separately.

Medication Policies and Information
In our efforts to minimize last minute refill requests and increase medication compliance, we have developed policies that will apply to chronic or routine daily medications such as blood pressure, birth control, and psychiatric medication. Our medication policies are as follows:
1. Refills of chronic medications will only be given during office visits
2. Prescriptions for medications will no longer be mailed. All printed medications must be picked up from the office during business hours.
3. 30-day faxes are never accepted from pharmacies. When it is time to refill your medication(s), please call the office yourself to notify the physician of your request.

Late Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we're here to help.

To keep appointments available for all patients and reduce wait times, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled visit.

What Counts as a Late Cancellation or No-Show?

Late Cancellation: Canceling or rescheduling your appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

No-Show: Missing your appointment without notifying us at least 24 hours in advance.

Fees for Missed Appointments

Appointments not canceled at least 24 hours ahead of time will incur a $25 fee.

Please note: This fee is not covered by insurance and will be billed directly to you.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment in any of the following ways:

  • MyChart: If you're enrolled, you can cancel or reschedule anytime through your account.
  • Call the office: If we're unable to answer, please leave a voicemail with your full name, date of birth, appointment date/time, and the reason for cancellation.

Helpful Reminder

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and any necessary paperwork. This helps us stay on schedule and ensures your visit runs smoothly.
