Corie’s Story: Making a Difference as a Patient Service Representative

2/17/2026

Corie Davis has been a valued member of COPC for over two years, bringing compassion, dedication, and experience to every patient interaction. As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), she plays a crucial role in creating a smooth, welcoming experience for patients while supporting the clinical team. Her responsibilities include checking patients in, verifying insurance and demographic information, generating self-pay estimates, handling registration and work queues, managing faxes and scanned documents, and assisting with any patient questions or needs.

Beyond these essential tasks, Corie makes a real difference through her personal approach. She meets patients where they are, offering extra support for those who may have mobility challenges, helping with paperwork, or simply listening when someone needs to be heard. She builds relationships with frequent patients, many of whom are elderly, ensuring they feel cared for and respected at every visit. “Connecting with patients is the best part of my job. A little kindness goes a long way—especially for someone who isn’t feeling their best.”

Corie also elevates the work of her colleagues. She collaborates closely with her team, sharing knowledge, stepping in to assist when others are busy, and helping train new PSRs to ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience. Her initiative in creating a structured training program has strengthened the front desk team and improved onboarding for new staff. “Even though I’m not in a leadership role, I still try to lead—by asking how I can help, learning new skills, and supporting the team.”

Her compassion and determination haven’t gone unnoticed. Her manager, Jennifer Mosher, had this to say, “Corie’s character and contributions have a consistently positive impact on our office. She helps train new staff in a way that builds confidence and fosters trust and teamwork. Corie ensures patients feel welcomed and cared for by greeting them with a smile and actively listening to their questions. Her reliability and compassion strengthen team morale and support a smooth, high-quality patient experience.”

The PSR role is vital in a clinical setting. It’s often the first and last touchpoint for patients, setting the tone for their care journey. Corie exemplifies how attention to detail, empathy, and teamwork not only keep office operations running smoothly but also enhance patient satisfaction, trust, and comfort. Her dedication demonstrates that a PSR is more than an administrative role—it’s a cornerstone of quality, patient-centered healthcare.
