Our Story
At Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC), we believe that great healthcare starts with strong relationships and a deep commitment to putting patients first.
Founded in 1996 by a group of 33 physicians who shared a passion for quality care, COPC was created to shift the focus away from administrative complexity and back to what matters most: the patient. That founding mission still guides us today.
Now with more than 80 practices and providing care to over 500,000 patients, COPC has grown into the largest physician-owned primary care group in the United States. We’re proud of where we’ve been—but even more excited about where we’re going. At COPC, we’re building a better, more connected way to care for you and your family. Thanks for trusting us with your health. We’re glad you’re here.
WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT:
- Doctors who take the time to get to know you
- A care team that sees the full picture of your health
- A focus on wellness, prevention, and long-term health
- Local leadership and a deep commitment to our
communities

Our success combines a reputation for clinical excellence, a commitment to mindful service, and a willingness to challenge some of the long-held standards of care.
IT IS OUR GOAL:
To provide the highest quality preventative and chronic care
+ To keep our patients out of the hospital whenever possible
+ To collaborate with local health systems, while remaining uniquely independent
+ To refer our patients to the best specialists in the region regardless of affiliation
+ To demonstrate that our patients can receive the best care at a more competitive price.
When we do these things, we can be the best for our patients, the best for each other, and the Best for Primary Care.
